Robert Kenneth 'K-Mart' Martin

R. Kenneth "K-Mart" Martin, age 80, of Rochester, NY and formerly of Savona, Bath and Chili, NY, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Highlands at Brighton Nursing Home, Brighton, NY.
He was born January 27, 1934 in Astoria, NY, the son of the late Hugh and Anna Sears Martin.
On August 13, 1955 he married Florence L. Koin in Lansford, PA. He served in the United States Navy Seabees from 1952-1956.
He was employed as a claims adjuster for National Grange Mutual Insurance, a sergeant at the Steuben County Jail, and worked for the Village of Bath.
He was also a member of the Bath Elks Club, the Chili Senior Center and an avid fan of NASCAR, golf, the New York Giants and the New York Rangers.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Florence L. Martin; two daughters, Regina (Don Barrett) VanDerhoff of Bloomfield, and Mary Ellen Tinney of Chili; son, Kenneth Martin of Virginia; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Hugh Martin of Floral Park, John Martin of Montvale, NJ, Francis Martin of the Bronx and William Martin of Peekskill.
Visitation will be held on Monday July 28, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home, 31 W. Morris Street, Bath, NY 14810 with a Memorial and Elks service to follow at 2:00 pm
with Father Pat Connor officiating.
Burial with Military Honors will be held at 3:00 pm at the Bath National Cemetery.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Monroe County or the Alzheimers Association.
