Robert L. Owens

Robert L. Owens, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026, at his home in Bath, NY after a long illness. Born on May 17, 1957, in Dansville, NY the son of the late Harold L. (aka Bob) Sr. and Elizabeth L. (aka Betty) (Dickens) Owens.

Bob was a much loved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. His smile and easy charm brightened a room and made everyone welcome. He will be greatly missed. His legacy of love lives on in each of us.

Bob attended Dansville High School and served in the US Army. He worked for the US Postal Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, hunting alligators in Florida, NASCAR, riding Harleys and many automotive "toys". Bob and Karen lovingly built their retirement log home, workshop, garage and greenhouse.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Karen (Hillman) Owens; daughters, Jennifer Owens and Megan Stellino; step sons, Kyle Hillman and Dustin Faucett, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Robert also leaves behind his siblings James (Paula) Smith, Catherine Smith and Harold (aka Robbie) Owens, Jr. 

He was predeceased by his parents, stepmother Beverly Owens, son Josh Owens, sister Robin Jacobs, brother William Smith and stepbrother David C, Kuhn.

Respecting Robert's wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral.
