Roger A. Ruest, age 81, of Avoca, New York, died Thursday, January 6, 2022 peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Roger was born February 8, 1940 in Plaster Rock, New Brunswick, Canada, the son of Clovis and Marie (Dumais) Ruest.
He was a US Air Force Veteran.
Roger retired from Mercury Aircraft of Hammondsport, NY. He was a member of St. John Vianney Parish in Bath, NY.
He is survived by his wife Rena (Martin) Ruest, son Terry (Tiffany) Ruest; daughters, Penny Ruest and Marie Ruest, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren, his sister Cecile Ruest and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Ruest was predeceased by siblings, Ronald Ruest, Malcom Ruest, Rita Ruest, Jeannette Johnston, Simone Whitehouse, and Leo Ruest. Burial of his urn will be in the spring, in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Bath, NY, with military honors.
