Roland D. Baird

Roland D. Baird, age 88, of Hammondsport, NY died Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Steuben Center in Bath, NY with his daughters at his side. He was born in Corning, NY March 6, 1930, the son of the late Donald and Ruth (Roberts) Baird. Mr. Baird was a veteran of the U.S. Navy proudly serving his country from 1948-52. He was retired Superintendent from Murray Walters Construction Company of Binghamton, NY.
He was greeted in heaven by his wife Margaret Kish Baird. He is survived by his beloved daughters Linda Baird and Cheri Baird both of Hammondsport, NY, and grandson, Kyle (Tracey) Baird of Florence, SC.
The family would like to extend many thanks to the staff at the Steuben Center in Bath.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, January 21, 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Hammondsport, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Care First, 3805 Meads Creek Road, Painted Post, NY 14870.
