Ruby E. Bloom, age 66, of Bath, NY, died
August 4, 2014.
She was born October 26, 1947 in Corning, NY to Ernest and Grace DeMonstoy Culbertson.
She attended Addison Central School and retired from Corning Inc. after 30 years.
Ruby is survived by her husband John Bloom; three grandchildren, Mark and Lynn Culbertson of Wayland, Krissy Culbertson and James Mulcahy of Cohocton and
April Culbertson of Addison, 13 great grandchildren; step children, Carol and Steve Shoemaker of Bath, Angel and Ben Dickinson of Corning and Darlene Phillips of Corning, 11 step grandchildren; brothers, Harry Culbertson of Addison and Charles Culbertson of ND; sisters, Vivian and Don Shaut of Elkland, Pearl and Gordon Lechner of Addison, Ellnora Hotaling of Borden, NY and Charlotte Vaughn of Mississippi, brother-in-law, Charles Manwaring of Bath VA, sister-in-law Ruth Culbertson of Montour Falls and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sons, Mark Culbertson and infant Theron Hotaling; brothers, Hulbert, Ivan, Elwyn and Earl Culbertson, sister Thelma Smith Manwaring and step daughter June Belknap.
Ruby was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend.
She loved to travel, trips to Casinos and spending time with friends and family.
She loved to be at farmers markets, flea markets, local events and being involved with other people.
She will be missed dearly by her family, friends and anyone who had a chance to know her.
Family and friends are invited to call at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:00-7:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Barre Butts officiating.
Burial will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.
