Ruby A. Russell

Ruby A. Russell, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025, at the age of 76 in Bath, NY. Born on May 24, 1949, in Prattsburgh, NY, Ruby's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and gentle heart.

Ruby spent her professional years as the Supervisor of Food Service at the Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital. Her colleagues revered her for her leadership and compassion, often going above and beyond to ensure the well-being of both patients and staff. Her retirement was celebrated as much as her career, both marking the indelible impact she left on those around her.

Ruby's love for gardening was well-known, her hands as skilled in nurturing plants as they were in offering comfort.

She was the loving matriarch of a family that adored her deeply. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Veronica (Philip) Kimble; her son, William (Barbara) Russell; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Her sister, Caroline Saltsman, and her devoted niece, Tammy Havens, along with several other nieces and nephews, will continue to cherish her memory. Ruby was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Earl Russell, and her granddaughter, Amanda. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Durwood, Alfred, and Walter Hamilton, and her sisters, Ida and Marian.

Ruby's will be profoundly missed, yet her spirit will continue to bloom in the lives of her family and the countless individuals she touched.
