Ruth A. Wells

Ruth Ann Wells died on Saturday July 25, 2015.
She was born December 10, 1949 in Buffalo, NY to M. Hazen Wells and Beatrice (Bartlett) Wells.
She graduated from the State University College at Buffalo with a BS. Ed. Degree and received her Masters in Library Science from Geneseo State University College.
Ruth came to the Bath area in 1972 to be a librarian for the Haverling Jr.-Sr. High School and remained in the area for the rest of her life.
Ruth was a librarian for the Bath Central School District for 34 years.
She enjoyed animals of all kinds and was an accomplished horsewoman.
She married William R. Silbaugh
in 1991.
She and her husband enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Champagne Whirlaways Square Dance Club for many years.
After she retired she was a volunteer with various organizations in the Bath area.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents and husband Russ.
She is survived by cousins Karen Beck of Buffalo, NY and Nancy (Dan) Pittner of Berrien Springs, Michigan, sister-in-law, Linda (Lou) Lerda of Chambersburg, PA, brother-in-law, Phil (Donna) Silbaugh of Morgantown, PA and many close friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 30, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath with Reverend Stanley Bhasker officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to the Care First, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830-3657.
