Steven E. Shattuck

Steven Earl Shattuck, 60, of Bath, NY, passed away Thursday April 16, 2020 at the Taylor Health Center.
Steven was born on January 20, 1960 to Earl and Mabel (Learn) Shattuck in Greenville, PA.
He lived in PA with his parents and sister, Elaine, until Steven returned to Bath, NY with his parents.
There he attended special education classes at the Haverling Central School until ARC was formed.
He spent his days at ARC learning skills of various sorts, proudly earning his own paycheck for several years.
In 2018 Steven entered Taylor Health Center due to dementia. Steven enjoyed many of his summers in PA with his sister, Elaine, and her husband, Verne Anthony. Steven was well known for his happy, humorous, flirty personality.
He enjoyed music of all kinds, particularly gospel quartets.
In his lifetime he has hugged more people in stores, restaurants and shopping centers, than most could imagine.
He was very well loved and enjoyed wherever he went.
He especially enjoyed being a part of the church worship team at church with the hand held instrument made for him at ARC.
Steven loved the Lord Jesus Christ and displayed that love all through his life.
Steven is survived by his sister Elaine Talbot.
He is predeceased by his mother, father and infant sister LuVae, as well as brother-in-law LaVerne Anthony. Graveside service will be held with Pastor Nate Cooper officiating.
A Celebration of Steven's life will be scheduled at a later date.
