Susan Marie Applebee-Goodrich, 61, of Prattsburgh, NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on August 09, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on June 21, 1965, in Montour Falls, NY.
Susan was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an avid outdoorswoman who loved to hunt, fish, and travel. Above all else, she cherished her family. She loved being with them in whatever capacity she could, and the time she spent surrounded by the people she loved was what mattered most to her. Her love for her family was evident in the many ways she gave of herself and in the memories, she created with them.
Susan is survived by her loving husband Gary Goodrich; her father Clifford Croft (Sheila); her siblings Tammy Thomas (Bill), Jim Croft (Amy), Joe Croft (Bunn); and her children Christopher Croft (Alichia), Ryan Penner (Erika), and AnnMarie Penner (Nick).
She will be remembered with love by her grandchildren: McKennah Lott (Ryan), Raven Hover (Brennan), Patrick Croft, Kolin Spaulding, Baylee Penner, Hayleigh Reinbold, Cole Penner, Nixen Southard, Rexton Southard, and Axel Southard; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Susan was predeceased by her mother Elenor Cole (Frank).
Susan's greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a lifetime of love, memories, and moments that will be treasured by all who knew and loved her. Though she will be greatly missed, her love will continue on through her husband, children, grandchildren, and the many family members and friends whose lives she touched.
Rest peacefully Susan. You were deeply loved, and you will never be forgotten.
