TERRENCE ANDREW PATRICK LYNCH
Bath, NY - Terrence Andrew Patrick Lynch, age 68, died peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
Terry was born on June 2, 1955, in Washington, New Jersey, the son of Francis A. and Bernice Traynor Lynch. He was a graduate of Haverling Central School in the class of 1973 and then went on to graduate from Corning Community College.
He is survived by a son, Francis J. L. Marrano (Cherise) of W. Seneca, NY; and his siblings Kathleen (Wayne) Patterson of Bath, NY; Patricia (Mike) Jolliff of Copenhagen, NY; Kevin (Linda) Lynch of Bath, NY; Dennis (Judy) Lynch of Dryden, NY; his nieces and nephews: Sean, Sarah, Alicia, Lily, Jennifer, Andrew, Sophia, and great-niece, Ophelia.
He was predeceased by his parents Francis and Bernice Lynch, niece Jill Marie Patterson, and beloved dogs Billie, Bailey and Bella.
Terry started his career in the restaurant/bar business beginning with his first job at the old Grants Skillet during high school. He spent many years in the business at various establishments. He was well-suited for this career because he could entertain his customers with his "gift of gab." There wasn't anyone with whom he couldn't carry on a lengthy conversation on many topics. He had a great interest in history. He would look up facts and figures just for the fun of it. He would incorporate this information into many of his conversations.
Later on in life, he left New York and moved to Virginia where he worked in sales for ADT. Once again his "gift of gab" would come in handy with his clients. Terry later moved back to Bath to deal with some health issues and to be closer to family.
The family would like to thank his many caretakers.
In keeping with Terry's request, there will be no services or visitation.
