Valerie Ann Mason, age 72, of Savona, New York went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2018 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre Pennsylvania.
Valerie was born in Springfield Ohio to Charles and Loretta Martin on July 30, 1945.
She married Richard Kenneth Mason on November 29, 1975 in Escondido, California. Valerie worked as an Electronic Data Processor at Bath National Bank for 30 years.
In her life, she valued Family, Faith, and Friendship above all.
She was a voracious reader and a member of the Scottish American Society of the Southern Tier.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her dogs:
Max, Shi-min, Rudy, and Julie Rose.
Valerie is survived by her husband, Richard Mason, her two sisters Mary Rogers and Sharon Scott, her two sons Martin Ewald and Daniel White, Jr. her step-daughter Shelly Eveland, and three granddaughters: Shauna, Erynn, and Isabella.
A Memorial Service will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd in Savona, New York on June 2, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. with Father Abi John officiating.
Later, she will be interred at the Bath National Cemetery (Veterans Affairs) in a simple proceeding for immediate family.
Fagan's Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
