Veda A. Barker

On February 8th, 2021, Veda A. Bulkley-Barker, 76, of Cameron Mills, passed away unexpectedly after a short battle with a lung condition. Veda was born on December 3rd, 1944 in Bath, NY to Lyman and Elizabeth Bulkley. On September 16th, 1961, she married James K. Barker. They raised three daughters, Joanne, Julie, and Jill, and two sons, Jim and Jack. Veda retired from Philips Lighting in Bath, NY. Veda loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was known for her cooking, baking, and infectious laugh. Surviving are Veda's daughters, Joanne Davis (Ed), Julie Mitchell (Jim), and Jill Barker, her son Jim (Shelley); her grandchildren, April Marsh (Gregg), Jack Barker (Gina), Ally Muller (Amber), Anthony Mitchell (Camri), Tyler Barker, Matthew Mitchell, Paige Nolton, Makayla Mitchell, Sarah Vosburg, Edward Barker, Jenna Mellinger, Tasha Mayo, and Neil Davis; her great grandchildren, Justin, Steven, Aaliyah, Noah, Darrien, Ethan, Brantley, Bryson and Tristan; her sisters Judy Flickner, Timmy White, and Betty Clinton (Gary) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Veda was preceded in death by her father, Lyman, her mother, Elizabeth, her husband, James, her son, Jack, and her grandson, Eddie Davis. There will be no calling hours, per request of Veda. A private service will be held for immediate family. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made in Veda's name to the Cameron Ambulance or the Town-Line Cemetery. Arrangements are with Fagan's Funeral Home in Bath, NY.
