Virginia K. Hayes

Virginia K. Hayes, age 89, of Savona, NY died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the Steuben Center for Rehabilitation and Health Care of Bath, NY. She was born March 19, 1929 in Bath, NY the daughter of the late George and Lillian Drake Morse. Mrs. Hayes was an excellent baker and enjoyed being a member of the sewing circle. She and her loving husband Floyd Hayes have been married for 71 years this May 2018. She is survived by her husband Floyd Hayes; five children, Diana Spencer, Barbara Rook, Michael (Cindy) Hayes, Brian (Marlene)Hayes and Sue (Daniel) Nielson, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and her sister, Joan Coleman. She was predeceased by her daughter Connie Heuneman, brother, George Morse and sisters Shirley Pulos and Eloise Morse. There will be no services. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations in Mrs. Hayes's name may be made to the Steuben County Historical Society, 1 Cohocton St., Bath, NY 14810.
