Ward D. Amidon Jr., age 69, of Bath, NY died Sunday, June 18, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 14, 1954 in Hornell, NY, the son of Ward D. and Wilda (Newell) Amidon. Mr. Amidon was a meat cutter and owned and operated the slaughter house, Kanona Custom Meats in Kanona, NY. Throughout his life Ward owned and operated several businesses. He operated a farm along side his father as well as being a Milk hauler and long distance truck driver.
In his past, Ward was an avid race car driver and enjoyed racing at the Woodhull Raceway. He was also a devoted NASCAR fan.
He is survived by his wife Milta (Decker) Amidon of Bath, NY; two daughters Tammy Fresco of Knoxville, PA and Stacy (R.J.) Bacon of Penn Yan, NY, his granddaughter Jade Fresco and his mother Wilda Amidon. Mr. Amidon was predeceased by his father Ward D. Amidon Sr. and son-in-law, Joe Fresco.
Wards family would also like to thank Dustin Buck and Dustins family for their ongoing support during this difficult time.
At Wards request there will be no services. A celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of the family.
