William "Billy"
Scott Fitzwater, 48, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, September 28, with his family by his side after a gallant battle with cancer.
Billy was born on February 13, 1964 in Penn Yan,
NY.

He was predeceased by his mother Mary Ann.
Billy graduated from Prattsburg Central School in 1983 where he played four years of Varsity baseball, basketball, and one year of soccer.
He attended
Monroe Community College and
later earned his BS degree in Accounting from St. Bonaventure University where he also played baseball.
He started his accounting career at Taylor Winery continuing on to Borden,
Birkett Mills, Cargill, and Technical Machine Services.
Billy continued to stay active with sports and was involved in his community in many ways.
He was a Steuben County Boys Basketball official for more than 10 years.
He was an assistant coach for Prattsburg boys baseball as well as a coach for Hammondsport's Little League, Cinderella Softball, Girls Modified Softball, AAU Girls Basketball, and was involved with the Jr. Lakers boys and girls.
Billy had a natural gift for coaching.
His compassionate and positive attitude served the youth of Hammondsport as he taught them the skills of the game along with the life-long skill of respect for others.
Billy was a devoted husband to Tammy and
a wonderful father to Troy and Olivia.
He would do anything for his children supporting both of their interests and hobbies; playing tennis with Troy and coaching many of Olivia's sports teams.
They will truly miss him.
People who knew Billy would remember how he always asked about other's families and how he kept up on all the kids sports activities; always scanning through the local papers. He had such enthusiasm and zest for life.
Billy will be truly missed by all his friends, old and new, and so many family members.
He had a great charm and was so easily loved by all that knew him.
